Guerrero edging closer

Manager Owen Coyle has admitted there has been some dialogue opened with his club but certainly didn't go as far as to suggest we've got close to making an offer.

But it is believed that an offer has been made and that it has been accepted in principle by the club. It appears that it just needs the rubber stamp of the club president who has been unavailable.

Once he's done that then it is almost certain that Guerrero will be on his way to England to join up with the Clarets in a deal that could go as high as £2 million although presumably with various add ons.

He played for us in America, he certainly won't be here tomorrow for the League One Leeds game, but who knows he might just have arrived in time for our trip to Scotland.

To date Owen Coyle has brought in five new signings, four of whom were playing full back last season. He's almost certain to want to strengthen his squad further ahead of the new season and a winger is just the sort of player he's been looking for this summer.
