Grayson has been in charge of the Seasiders for just about two years since replacing Colin Hendry in November 2005. Blackpool ended that 2005/06 season in 19th place but last season he engineered a promotion after a remarkable end to the season that saw them win their last ten games including three in the play offs.

The higher division is proving to be that bit tougher just now but a win on Saturday over Scunthorpe, their third this season, lifted them to 19th place. The reports suggest that Grayson could well be on the look out to further his career away from Bloomfield Road.

The 38-year-old ended his playing career with Blackpool having played for eight other clubs previously, including our local rivals Blackburn Rovers. He is still believed to be under consideration at Leicester for whom he played over 200 games between 1992 and 1997.
