On what was a disappointing afternoon as the Clarets again lost a lead away from home, the seventh time we've been in front on the road this season and not won, it was Grant who came out on top.
He took the man of the match with a 24.1% share of the vote and that was ahead of left back Danny Lafferty who came second with 19.5%. Ross Wallace and David Edgar took third and fourth place, Wallace securing 12.8% and Edgar 11.3% of the vote.
Three of those players were in the top four of the player ratings. Again Grant came first. He had a rating of 6.83 out of 10. Lafferty was second with 6.50 and Edgar was joined by fellow central defender Jason Shackell in taking third place jointly with both having a rating of 6.33 out of 10.
That result has given Grant the maximum ten points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year with Lafferty winning six points. Edgar claimed three points and there were two points each for Shackell and Wallace.
It makes it very interesting at the top of the player of the year table with Grant now within seven points of leader Charlie Austin. Austin, now back in the side, will be looking to get amongst the goals to increase a lead that at one point, before his injury, had looked unassailable.
Dean Marney remains in third place and is the only player likely to challenge the top two over the remaining games of the season.
