Gow on his way for talks

Gow has been included in the package that could see Lafferty join Rangers and the Scottish 'B' international is heading down to Burnley today for talks and if successful is expected to sign on the dotted line.

He can play in midfield or up front and is considered by some to be similar in style to Lafferty, able to play in wide positions or as a striker.

Gow started his career with Clydebank but joined Airdrie United in 2002 where he played alongside both Owen Coyle and Sandy Stewart. He won a promotion with them but moved on three years later to Falkirk and had a spell up front alongside Anthony Stokes when both players scored a lot of goals.

With a desire to move on in the summer of 2007 Falkirk failed to sell him in the January and he signed a pre-contract agreement with Rangers before joining them in the summer. He made his debut in a post-season friendly with Falkirk giving him permission to play.

It's not worked out at Rangers in the first year of a three year contract. He's not played any league football at all and his first team appearances total two, one in each of the two domestic cup competitions.

Burnley were keen on him in January of this year but recent reports suggest he turned down the chance to come to the Turf on loan. Now he's on his way to Burnley for talks and could become part of the biggest transfer deal (money wise) in the club's history.
