Gorkss - Clarets look set to miss out

For a while it looked as though it was a two horse race between us and Preston should the Latvian international decide to move on, and with him having a £250,000 release clause there was little, in fact nothing, Blackpool could do about it.

However, there's been a lot of interest from Watford where it is believed they could be losing Danny Shittu and earlier this week it did look as though Gorkss was bound for Vicarage Road and a career with that wonderful style of football.

Today though one national newspaper is not just linking him with a move but have claimed he's already signed for the rich kids in the league Queens Park Rangers. At this point in time there is no confirmation from either club but it is looking increasingly likely that this is one player who will not be signing for the Clarets.
