Good news on Glen

Last updated : 04 March 2002 By Tony Scholes

It seems that just about every Clarets fan has enquired about Glen's well being since Saturday but we can now tell you that apart from looking somewhat battered and bruised he should be fit and back in the side sooner than we dared hope.

Stan visited him yesterday and said, "I saw him yesterday and he has got one eye closed, the other is bruised and his mouth is cut so he is a bit of a mess".

Because he was knocked out there has to be a two week period before he can be allowed to play again and so he is automatically ruled out of our visits to Walsall and Stockport this week. There is no midweek game the following week and the weekend game is on Sunday evening against Preston. It is hoped that Glen will be able to play in that game against Preston.
