The player has been told he will be released by Manchester United at the end of the season and they describe him as a player who is happiest with the ball at his feet and running at defenders. They add that he can deliver a good cross and possesses a fierce shot.
He's been with Cheltenham on trial during this month and played two games for their reserve team. The first was a Gloucestershire County Cup game against Bishop's Cleeve and he scored the only goal of the game. A fortnight ago he was in the side that won a Pontin's League game against Swansea City.
It looked as though he might be offered a deal by Chelthenham boss Keith Downing who said of him: "Sean has a nice left foot and has given me food for thought." But the following day he said: "With the financial restraints, I need players who can go straight into the first team," and Evans returned to Old Trafford.
That was just a week ago and that's led to him coming to Burnley and a game against Carlisle reserves this week.
