Brian Laws will need to bring in a new goalkeeper
It's clear that the Beast's time at Burnley is up now and that means manager Brian Laws will have to look at bringing in a new goalkeeper and interestingly our old friend the Daily Mail is the first one to come up with a name.

Now in all fairness this newspaper were the first this week with the Jensen news, the transfer request quickly being confirmed by the club, and this morning they've linked us to Joe Murphy a goalkeeper Brian Laws signed for Scunthorpe in the summer of 2006.

The 29-year-old Murphy is out of contract in the summer and has already been linked with other clubs, but whether he would be keen to make the move to Burnley and start as number two behind Lee Grant is questionable.

Murphy started his career with Tranmere before moving on to West Brom and Sunderland, along with two loan spells at Walsall, before joining Scunthorpe in Laws' last summer at the club.

The 29-year-old, who has been capped by the Republic of Ireland, has made 298 league appearances in his career with 190 of them for Scunthorpe.
