St. Johnstone are currently in third place in the table and were expected to beat Stirling last night, but things didn't quite go to plan although they did go in front with a goal from experienced defender Kevin James after just fifteen minutes.

They held the lead until the half hour and then things started to go wrong as they conceded two penalties and saw James sent off. Chris Aitken converted both of the spot kicks to send Stirling in to half time with a 2-1 lead.

With just over twenty minutes to go they got a third through Jay Rodriguez, his third goal in nine starts for Stirling during his loan spell and 3-1 was the final score. Jay is expected to play his last game for Stirling this Saturday when they travel to Clyde for their final game of the season and he's expected to sign a new deal with the Clarets over the summer.
