Gnohere confusion but he is not going to QPR

Last week there was speculation that Arthur was set to sign for Queens Park Rangers,
speculation fuelled by the London press. It seemed a fair enough assumption, he had been with the West London club on loan earlier in the season and impressed.

It was said at the time that only a hamstring injury had held it up but over the weekend Stan put a stop to such speculation and insisted that there was no such move on the cards at all.

"I can categorically state that Arthur Gnohere will not be joining Queens Park Rangers.

"I have no idea where these reports come from, but to my knowledge, there is absolutely nothing in it," he told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

However, the speculation has not gone away and there have been further suggestions that a deal was in the offing.

That has been ruled out today by QPR boss Ian Holloway who said, "We were looking at it, but he's turned us down and he won't be coming."

With all the rumour coming from the capital and given that he was popular with the QPR fans it does appear that Holloway has been building their hopes up by suggesting they were trying to sign Arthur.

That is clearly not the case with Stan saying there was never any such move.
