Glen wins place in Nationwide Team of the Season

Now it is the time for the Nationwide League Division One Team of the Season and we are delighted to report that Glen Little has made the side. Glen had an outstanding first half to the season, even taking into account the hamstring injury that kept him out of the starting line up for six games.

He couldn't stop scoring either and by Christmas had scored a total of nine league goals. The goals dried up as the Clarets struggled and his only goal since the turn of the year came in the 4-1 FA Cup win against Canvey Island. There were more problems with hamstring and then just as he seemed to be getting back to full fitness he was knocked unconscious in an accidental collision against Norwich.

However that first half of the season form was good enough to see him win a place in the side that sees West Brom dominate the defensive positions and Manchester City some of the more attacking places.

Congratulations to all eleven players and in particular to Blakey.

The full team is:

Russell Hoult (West Bromwich Albion)
Igor Balis (West Bromwich Albion)

Darren Moore (West Bromwich Albion)
