Gilks in Scotland squad

Last updated : 03 October 2014 By Tony Scholes

Gilks has three caps to his name. He played in two friendlies in 2012, against Australia at Hibs' Easter Road in August, coming on as a substitute, and then against Luxembourg in November.

He added a third cap in 2013, making a substitute appearance in a World Cup qualifier against Macedonia in Skopje in August.

This latest squad is for two Euro qualifiers against Georgia and Poland. The first of them, against Georgia is on Saturday 11th October at Ibrox, and they then travel to Warsaw to face Poland on Tuesday 14th October.

There may not be any other Burnley players in the squad but there is one ex-Claret in Sunderland's Steven Fletcher and two others who might have become Clarets this summer, Craig Bryson of Derby and Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur.
