The 20-year-old is in his second season as a full time professional at Burnley having had two previous years as a scholar during which is scored a lot of goals including a hat trick at Man United in the FA Youth Cup in December 2012.
In the summers of 2013 and 2014 he was included with the first team squad for pre-season in Cork and then Austria and on his return last summer he scored our winning goal in a pre-season friendly at Accrington.
He's not been included in the match day squad this season; the only occasion he was named as a substitute was at Watford towards the end of last season, but now he's going to get the chance to play some league football with Accrington where he will team up with his old youth team strike partner Shay McCartan.
He's signed for them on a youth loan until the end of the season and he said, ahead of the move: "The manager rang me up and said there was an opportunity for me to go to a League Two side on loan.
"I'm relishing the opportunity to play for Accrington. I can't wait to get a few games in, hopefully get some goals and get some points on the board.
"It's probably the closest club to Burnley so that's good for me. Hopefully it'll be easy for Burnley to keep an eye on my progress and I'm living in Burnley so that's easy for me too. It's a good move."
He added: "I've gone to score goals. The manager here is a former striker so any advice he gives me I'll be taking on board as I know it'll be good advice."
Provided the deal is ratified by the Football League, Jason will be in the squad for Accrington's home game tomorrow against Portsmouth.
