Gardner plays in a midfield role and has become a firm favourite of Forest fans whilst on loan from already relegated Aston Villa.

Gary is a product of the Aston Villa Academy. He has also spent short spells on loan at Coventry City in 2011 in addition to Sheffield Wednesday and Brighton & Hove Albion in 2014.

Gardner has made a number of appearances at different international levels for England. He is the younger brother of current West Bromwich Albion midfielder and former Aston Villa player Craig Gardner.

Already accredited with several contenders for "Goal of the Month" with his distance shooting, Gardner seems a logical target for Sean Dyche's Clarets.

The Villians are already relegated and Burnley are back in the Barclays Premier League at the first time of asking. Gardner has youth on his side, wages and fees will not be a huge obstacle.

I can see this one having some legs. (TEC).
