Full price tickets again

If you recall, just over three weeks ago the club re-introduced the season ticket discount period but only for those supporters in the privileged class, those who sit in the upper tier of the Jimmy McIlroy Stand.

Supporters in that area who had not renewed were sent letters with the club hoping to keep it quiet (their words) so as not to upset those who had paid full and those in other stands who had not renewed.

Only when the news reached the public domain did the club comment and then they failed to give any real explanation as to why some were given an extra period to purchase at discount prices and others not.

To describe the discriminatory decision as disgraceful is really an understatement but now even this discount has come to an end without even a word from the club. Was it successful or not? They have certainly not told us anything.

In fact judging from your comments it could hardly have been called successful with lapsed season ticket holders in other areas wondering why they were not included in such a deal.

Barry Kilby recently told Clarets Mad that the club would have to revisit the discount decision for next season, that being the April cut off. He needs to, despite the pleas from the club the fans do not like having to pay in April when not too long ago they could pay in June.

But whenever they have the cut off period next year it really does have to be the same for everyone.
