Fulham may make new offer for Kyle

On Saturday Fulham's American striker Brian McBride suffered a dislocated knee cap whilst scoring against Middlesbrough which will keep him out until early 2008, and that has sparked off the suggestions that manager Lawrie Sanchez, who has already signed four members of his Northern Ireland squad, could be set to up his offer for Kyle.

The Belfast press are suggesting that they had an offer of £2 million turned down by Burnley, which they claim to be twice the £500,000 that Celtic offered last January, and are predicting that Sanchez could come in with an offer of up to £3 million to try and capture the teenage striker.

We've turned down offers from Celtic, Wolves and Fulham, and on each occasion we've said that we would not encourage an increased offer as Kyle is not for sale, and that stand by the Clarets can have hardly changed in the last few weeks.

For now though Kyle, along with Michael Duff and Steve Jones, will be concentrating on Northern Ireland's game this week when they play Liechtenstein at Windsor Park in a European Championship qualifier.
