Franchised football is more expensive

Or so we thought until franchising was given the green light. Our fixture next week was priced at an astonishing £20 with tickets available on the day no matter where this lot decided to play it.

But that is no longer the case and any Burnley fan who really does decide he wants to go is now going to be ripped off big style. Today ‘Franchise in Administration’ have hiked up the prices by a massive 25% and not only that have changed all the conditions for buying tickets.

For an adult now wanting to go the cost is a staggering £25 (the highest price ever for a Burnley game) and tickets now have to be purchased in advance, there will be no sales on the day. Our allocation go on sale to season ticket holders from noon today.

I cannot believe that they have been allowed to change the venue, hike up the price, change all the conditions of ticket sales and all within a week of the fixture being played. To be honest I am somewhat disappointed that Burnley have quietly agreed to all this, privately they must be seething, and I would have liked to have seen at least some sort of protest at the shabby way in which our club has been used.

So if you really must go, if you really must endorse franchising then you are going to have to pay more for your ticket than you have ever paid before – a staggering £25 – and that is presumably to sit in the open on temporary seating.
