Foy again for Clarets

Last updated : 10 November 2006 By Tony Scholes
The game at the Windy City was an easy game to referee but Foy's had something of a difficult time since that Stoke game, just a couple of weeks later he got a decision wrong in the Tottenham v Portsmouth game that led to him being suspended from the Premiership.

He awarded Spurs a penalty, and that proved to be their winning goal, for a supposed foul by former Spurs player Pedro Mendes on Didier Zokora but it was the most blatant of dives that he'd missed. Barnsley's Paul Heckingbottom proved to be the ultimate loser, Foy was demoted to their game at Sheffield Wednesday and he sent him off.

Heckingbottom is the only player he's sent off this season whilst he's waved his yellow card 36 times in 14 games. Of those 36 cards, 16 of them have gone to home players and the other 20 to away players.

He's had some shockers refereeing Burnley, and our first game of the new Millennium at Notts County stands out, as does his handling of the opening day game against Crystal Palace in the 2003/04 season. He's also had some decent games and hopefully tomorrow will be similar to Stoke in September, the same result would be good too.

He will be assisted by Adam Watts (Worcestershire) and Andy Williams (Herefordshire) whilst Andrew Sainsbury (Wiltshire) will be the fourth official.
