Tom Cowan - released by Dundee
The debts are believed to be around £13 million and the administrators have quickly got to work with twenty members of staff being shown the door this morning. Amongst those are Craig Burley and Fabrizio Ravanelli who were at Derby last season, another club with massive debts.

But two former Burnley players, Tom Cowan and Mark Robertson, have found themselves on the list of departures and will be on the look out for new clubs.

Cowan moved back to Scotland at the start of this year having been released by York City. He has been in and out of the side and has made just five appearances, the last of which came in the middle of last month. Now aged 34 this could bring his career to a premature end.

Mark Robertson moved to Dundee in 2001 after a brief spell with Swindon but has started only nine league games for the Tayside club. In fact he has spent more time recently playing for St. Johnstone in loan spells and has not featured in a Dundee side since January.

At 26 he will be keen to find a new club and will be hoping that St. Johnstone will take him on a permanent basis having made nine league appearances for them this season in Scotland’s First Division.
