Former Clarets on the move

Marc Pugh - signed for Hereford
Last season wasn't the best for the recently married Pugh at Shrewsbury. He was out of favour with manager Paul Simpson and played just eight games for the play off final losers, all of them as a substitute. He had a short loan spell with Luton early in the season but things improved in March when he joined Hereford on loan.

At Hereford he was playing at League One level and scored in his second game for them against Hartlepool. Although the Bulls were relegated he did enough to persuade new manager John Trewick to go back in for him.

He got his contract at Shrewsbury cancelled and yesterday joined Hereford on a one year deal and it is a signing that has been greeted with enthusiasm by the fans who were impressed with his performances last season.

Two divisions higher, Dele Adebola had turned down the offer of a new contract with Bristol City. The 34-year-old was their leading scorer last season but opted for a move and today he will completed his Bosman transfer to Nottingham Forest.
