Former Claret in search for love

Last updated : 24 May 2003 By Tony Scholes

Winger Tony Morley has been single for two years and is now ready for love again and is searching for the perfect partner. But it is not the usual way for the former Burnley, Villa and England player. He’s far too busy for that.

Most of his time is spent coaching schoolchildren, attending charity functions and playing football for the Villa All Stars. That leaves him no time to find himself a new partner so Tony has registered with a new online dating company who have a rather different technique, they post pictures of their clients on billboards and their well known client is all set to hit the streets of Birmingham next week.

"With the busy active lifestyle I lead I just don't have time to meet some-one," Morley said.

"Joining this site gives me a great opportunity to meet someone I really like. I have never tried any lonely hearts ads or anything like that - I didn't need to," said Tony, who found the new dating agency site when browsing the internet.

A new partner would said Morley "Make me laugh. I just want to meet someone to take them out to dinner - you never know what's round the corner."

In true dating style though he hasn’t been exactly truthful giving his age as 44. In fact Tony Morley will be 49 in August.

So if you are out and about in Birmingham and see an ex-Claret looking down on you then you will know why.
