Former Burnley managers miss out

Stan Ternent - missed out on the Dunfermline job
This morning Dunfermline revealed that former Celtic player Davie Hay will be their new manager, he has pipped both Steve McMahon and Stan Ternent to the job.

Livingston
manager Hay had always been favourite for the job but Stan was interviewed and expressed a real interest in Scottish football as he looked to get back into the game.

Stan’s opportunity will come and he will be back in the game soon but the same can hardly be said about his predecessor at Burnley Chris Waddle. He’s been out of it for six years and has once again been snubbed as he tried to get back into management.

This time his target was the Conference and Scarborough who have just lost manager Russell Slade to Grimsby Town. Waddle is apparently a friend of the chairman at Scarborough and it was thought that he could well be taking over.

Scarborough fans can rest easy though, they are not going to be lining up with Lee Howey and Michael Williams in their team after all.

Yesterday they appointed their current coach and former Oldham, Sheffield United and Tranmere player Nick Henry as manager with Neil Redfearn coming in as his number two.

So it looks as though Waddle will have to continue talking about the game on TV for a while longer.
