Rhys Williams was a member of our squad during the latter part of last season and played regularly at right back up to and including the last league game of the season against Bristol City.

He wasn't able to play in the play offs but was at Wembley with the team as we won promotion. It was thought at the time that manager Owen Coyle might make a permanent move for him but instead brought in Tyrone Mears and Richard Eckersley for the right back position.

This season, back at Middlesbrough, Williams has played regularly in midfield until the last few weeks when he's been ruled out with a pelvic injury. He did enough before the injury to impress new boss Gordon Strachan and today put pen to paper on a new deal that will keep him at the Riverside until the end of the 2012/13 season.

We reported recently that Mo Camara had had his contract cancelled by St. Mirren leaving him as a free agent, and today he's back in England and back in the Football League after signing a contract until the end of the season with Torquay United.

The 34-year-old left Turf Moor at the end of the 2004/05 season. He rejected a new deal and opted for a move to Celtic. Colin Lee, the chief exec at Torquay, worked with Mo at Wolves and said this afternoon that he was just the type of player they were looking for as they look to pull further away from the bottom two clubs.
