Forest back in for Whittingham

It was reported last week that the Clarets had offered £1.75 million for former loan player Whittingham although it was confirmed later that we'd made an enquiry without having made a firm offer.

It's all strange goings on at Cardiff. They've paid off their tax bill under the new Malaysian owner who have changed the face of a club who are moving in on the signing of Craig Bellamy ahead of next season.

But Whittingham has just one year remaining on his contract and while that situation continues there will be other clubs making overtures. Burnley retain a keen interest whilst Little Billy at Forest is hoping to add him to his squad to allow Paul Anderson to move next season onto the right hand side.

I suspect right now that he's not likely to make a return to Burnley, but who knows and if Cardiff allow him to go into the last season of his contract he could well be set to make a move from South Wales.
