Flynn set for more Swansea talks

Swansea themselves said that a statement had been prepared to announce his arrival but Flynn's demands ended the possibility of an appointment. They claimed that he made further financial demands, both personal and team wise, and then insisted on bringing in Kevin Reeves even though he had initially agreed to Nick Cusack being coach.

Swansea were having none of it and not only did they break off all talks with Flynny but appointed Nick Cusack as full time manager at the end of last week. This ended any possibility of Flynny taking over and so he would be able to continue his work at Turf Moor.

However Swansea, playing their first game after Cusack's permanent appointment, were beaten 7-1 at Hartlepool and the club have reacted by re-opening talks with Flynn. It makes you wonder what sort of club it is that they can react that strongly after just one defeat under the new full time manager.

There has been no official comment from the club yet but Flynny has said, "We have spoken and I want to leave it at that at the moment but I will say the fact that we have spoken is a positive sign.

"I don't hold any grudges about what happened last week. There is no prejudice. I am happy to talk with the club and I am still interested in the job".

It looks then as you shouldn't go and lose your first match in full time charge by 7-1, it could cost you your job.
