Flynn and Reeves go at Swansea

The surprise news of his departure means that over half of the managers in the 3rd Division have now left their jobs since the beginning of the season with only former Claret Brian Laws in the bottom half of the league remaining.

Flynny had a difficult time at the Vetch Field when he arrived last September and it was a fight all season to avoid relegation to the Vauxhall Conference but a win against Hull on the last day of the season ensured they stayed up with Exeter joining Shrewsbury in the bottom two.

Things were so much better at the start of this season as they went top of the league scoring goals galore with a new look side but they couldn’t maintain it and a series of poor results has seen them drop down to tenth.

A cup run, including a win against Preston, masked the problems for a while but the defeat against lowly Macclesfield this week has forced the South Wales club to take action and the two former Clarets are back out of work again.

It means an incredible 35 clubs in the Premiership and Nationwide League have now changed manager since the season got underway in August with 25 of those in the bottom two divisions.
