Fletcher is the only Claret in Burley's squad

Steven Fletcher - in the Scotland squad to play Japan

Surprisingly Graham Alexander has been left out whilst there is no room either for Steven Caldwell who has returned to fitness and played for an hour in the reserve game against Hull last night.

Fletcher though is named for the game that will be played in Yokohama City a week on Saturday. If he plays he will win his sixth cap and his second since joining the Clarets from Hibs during the summer.

Fletcher is added to the three other players to have received call ups. Andre Bikey is in the Cameroon squad and both Brian Easton and Kevin McDonald will join up with the Scotland Under-21s.
