Fletcher goals take the points

Steven Fletcher
Fletcher scored the maximum by winning both the man of the match vote and the message board's player ratings despite sitting out the first hour of the game on the substitutes' bench.

He came on with Martin Paterson just past the hour and scored the equaliser just a few minutes before the end to take the game into extra time and then headed home from Paterson's cross to win it in the second half of that extra time.

His goals, and his performance in the hour he was on the pitch, won him no less than 56.5% of the vote with Andre Bikey picking up second place with 12.1%. Goalkeeper Diego Penny, who made two or three good saves, was third with 7.8% of the vote.

It was the same top two in the player ratings. Fletcher had a rating of 7.91 out of 10 to come out on top with Bikey in second place with a rating of 7.45. Third place this time went to Robbie Blake with a rating of 6.91 out of 10.

Fletcher picks up six points whilst Bikey gets four with both Penny and Blake getting a point each, like Fletcher getting their first points of the season.

The Chelsea man of the match vote is currently in progress and will run until the end of tomorrow. That will be followed Wednesday to Friday with the August goal of the month vote with four goals to choose from.
