Fletcher gets Chief Exec role

Fletcher has been back with the Clarets since the beginning of the year as Development Director and will now have a dual role. Besides the redevelopment it will see him focus on commercial activities, conference and banqueting, retail, ticket office, marketing and match day stewarding.

On getting this new role Fletcher said: "Over the last twenty years I have been involved with numerous football clubs around the country and I am delighted to use this experience for the benefit of Burnley Football Club.

"In readiness for the new stand development coming on stream in two years time the club needs to upgrade its services in a number of areas and I am pleased to take on this responsibility, whilst still working in my other important role on the development of Turf Moor.

"I hope this, in turn, frees time for the Chairman and Brendan Flood to spend more time with the manager on the important player matters".

Paul takes up the new role immediately.
