First Burnley game for Moss

Moss is now in his fourth season on the Football League list but somehow he's not previously been allocated a Burnley game, although he was the fourth official for our home game against Cardiff in 2005/06.

He'll be familiar though to our visitors tonight after refereeing three of their Championship games last season, their home games against Plymouth and West Brom along with the away game against Hull.

I don't know much about this referee, in fact I don't recall seeing him in action. He tends to average around three yellow cards per game and last season handed out 106 in 38 games with seven red cards.

He's had a quiet start to this season. In six games so far he's given out eleven yellow cards and one red. Five of those yellow cards have gone to home team players with six to away team players.

The one red card saw Accrington's Robbie Williams sent off in the last minute of extra time of their Carling Cup game at Wolves which the home side eventually won 3-2.

Tonight he will be assisted by Mark Astley (Greater Manchester) and Ross Joyce (Cleveland). The fourth official will be Peter Davies (Cheshire).
