Finance could scupper deals

Glen Little - much will depend on whether Bolton can afford to sign him
The second month hasn’t been quite so successful for Farrelly after an excellent start in Claret & Blue but that has mainly been down to illness that originally forced the midfielder out of the last home game against Walsall.

He played last Tuesday at Ipswich despite not having fully recovered but had to sit out Saturday’s excellent draw at West Ham.

For Facey the contrast could not be greater. He had a stormer in the 3-0 home defeat against Forest during his first month but struggled in front of goal with a couple of bad misses. That has all changed though and he has scored five goals in his last three appearances including that hat-trick against Walsall.

Players on short term loan deals can stay for a maximum period of 93 days and I’m sure Stan would be keen to keep them for a further month but much of that would depend on what Sam Allardyce wants to do regarding Glen Little.

Allardyce said recently that they will have to make a decision on Little and as to whether to make an offer to take him permanently. However a decision could in the end all be down to money, or the lack of it given the current situation of both clubs.

"If something can be done with Delroy and Gareth, we could be looking at doing something with Glen Little." Said Allardyce. "But the problem is we're both skint so we might not be able to come to an agreement.

"If our two players come back to challenge, they should come back better than when they left.

"They've had plenty of top First Division games, two a week for the last three or four weeks, rather than one game a week in the reserves.

"It's much more beneficial that they are doing that, whether they stay there or come back here."

Make your own mind up on that one but with Allardyce considering a return for his two players it could mean a third month at Burnley might not be possible.
