Scott Read will be providing the passionate commentary
From next week, and for two years, 2BR will be covering all Burnley games live with full match commentaries after signing a deal with the club. This guarantees that Burnley fans in the local Burnley, Hyndburn and Pendle areas will have live commentary whether the Clarets are at home or playing away.

The radio station are very pleased with the news as are the club and today Burnley FC Marketing Manager Edoardo Abis said, "2BR has very much become a focal part of the community within East Lancashire and as such we are delighted that they will be offering live match commentary of Burnley Football Club’s games throughout the 2003/2004 season.

"Scott Read’s commentary is passionate and his enthusiasm and support for the clarets is plain for all to see."

There is no doubt that Scott is passionate and leaves listeners in no doubt as to who he is supporting during his commentary. Clarets Mad caught up with him earlier today and he told us,

"I’m delighted that we are now able to offer full match commentary, it offers another alternative for Burnley fans and our listeners can now bank on 2BR’s coverage without relying on the possibility that other stations might or might not commentate on the game. That’s a real bonus."

Indeed it is and one Burnley fan who is now unable to get to some of the away games told us, "I won’t miss a minute of any match now with this new deal. It has to be great news for those of us unable to get to some of the games."

Scott’s first full live commentary will come at Turf Moor next week when the Clarets take on Crystal Palace on the opening day of the league season. And 2BR can be found at 99.8 FM.
