England Under-21s to play at the Turf

Portugal will be the opponents for the game which will be played on Thursday 13th November, kicking off at 7:45 p.m.

The game could see three current Clarets in action with all of Nathaniel Chalobah, Danny Ings and Michael Keane having been involved with the squad recently/

Lee Hoos, chief executive, said: "We would like to thank The FA for considering Burnley Football Club when seeing a host for the England Under-21s game. It's a great honour to his this game and wonderful news for the town and the club. We would urge supporters to back Gareth Southgate's side as they build up to and look forward to next summer's European U21 Championships."

It will be the first international staged at Turf Moor since England B beat Albania 3-1 in 2007, a game that saw Besart Berisha score the Albanian goal. England's scorers were Alan Smith and Stewart Downing (2).

The last under-21 game played at Burnley was back in the summer of 1995. On that occasion we beat Latvia 4-0 with Chris Bart-Williams, Neil Shipperley, Andy Booth and Steve Watson scoring the goals.

Prices are £10 adults, Concessions £5, Family tickets (2 adults and 2 children) £20 and bookings for parties of 15 or more will cost £5 adults and £2.50 concessions.
