Elliott was voted man of the match

Wade Elliott
The whole ninety minutes was torture to watch and finding a decent performance amongst it was not easy. However, Wade took 30.2% of the vote to win the Man of the Match vote. Robbie Blake, again coming on as a substitute, took second place with 13.3% whilst Andrew Cole, with 11.8% of the vote, claimed third place.

In the player ratings on the message board it was again Wade but what a difference than other games. A rating of 6 is considered an average performance but Wade took top billing with a rating of just 5.31 out of 10. Even that was some distance ahead of anyone else, and next were Robbie and Clarke Carlisle who both had a rating of 4.69 to take second place.

That means another six points for Wade and four more for Robbie, the current top two in the chase to become the Clarets Mad Player of the Year. Clarke Carlisle takes two points from the ratings whilst Andrew Cole wins one point from the Man of the Match poll.

Those points push the top two even further ahead and you certainly wouldn't expect anyone other than those in the top three to take the top place come the end of the season.
