Barry Kilby referred to it this week on local radio and today manager Owen Coyle has spoken about his desire to keep Wade at Turf Moor and is hopeful that he will. "We have spoken to Wade and his representative and talks are ongoing," said Coyle.

"Ultimately, we don't decide on that, but we have put an offer to him and we are waiting for him to come back. He is a player we love at the football club and we want him to stay here. He certainly enjoys it and I think you can tell that by the way he plays.

"We give him that licence to go and play and I think he has really revelled in how we go about that. He has already made it clear that he loves the football club and we are doing our best to make sure he stays."

Wade said recently: "I am really pleased with how things are going. I am really enjoying my football, like everyone, and that probably shows in the games. Everyone wants to get on the ball and make things happen and I am just happy to be part of that. I enjoy the training and the lads, and I'm just really enjoying my football. It's no secret how happy I am."

He's currently leading the way in our Player of the Season and it will be a big boost to know that Wade will be with us next season and beyond. The other seven players out of contract in the summer are Jon Harley, James O'Connor, Brian Jensen, John Spicer, Jay Rodriguez, Garreth O'Connor and David Unsworth.
