James O'Connor
James O'Connor - first points of the season
In only his second start of the season, drafted in with the midfield suspended, O'Connor was your clear choice of man of the match in the voting poll, winning 35.7% of the vote to acquire his first three points of the season in our Player of the Year table.

Elliott, the man very much in form at the moment, was not too far behind him with 31.2% of the vote to claim the two points whilst the final point went to another player making only his second start Ade Akinbiyi who claimed 10.6% of the vote.

Ade wasn't in the running in the player ratings but the other two were although with their positions reversed. It was very close too with Elliott scoring 8.00 whilst O'Connor scored 7.90 out of 10. Elliott took the three points this time with O'Connor claiming another two.

Clarke Carlisle took the final point. His average of 7.17 out of 10 left him clear of defensive colleague David Unsworth in the ratings and that point means he's joined Unsworth in second place in the table just behind leader Robbie Blake.

The current table is;

40: Robbie Blake
39: Clarke Carlisle & David Unsworth
35: Alan Mahon
32: Wade Elliott
25: Gabor Kiraly
23: Andy Gray
20: Chris McCann
19: Kyle Lafferty
14: Steven Caldwell
13: John Spicer
12: Brian Jensen
5: James O'Connor
3: Ade Akinbiyi, Graham Alexander, Michael Duff & Joey Gudjonsson
2: Jon Harley & Wayne Thomas
1: Stephen Jordan
