Elliott and Cork in demand

Wade Elliott
Wade Elliott - interesting Cardiff
The Cork story has been running for some time with the Seasiders looking to snatch Cork during this window on a permanent basis. Former manager Brian Laws confirmed that was the only way his loan deal could be ended early at Burnley, by Chelsea selling him to another club.

Laws also confirmed what he'd said all season that we would like to sign Cork ourselves on a permanent basis and would do so just as soon as possible. Despite the costs involved in the changing of manager I believe that is still the case and I expect Cork to still be at Burnley in February, be it still on loan or as a permanent Burnley player.

The same for Elliott I think. Wade is out of contract in the summer and can walk for nothing after six years at Turf Moor. Talks are in progress with him over a new deal and I don't think he's likely to opt for a move to Cardiff during this month.
