Eli to make draw

Roger Eli
Eli became something of a cult figure at Turf Moor and was an important member of the side that finally dragged us out of the basement and won the last ever fourth division championship in 1992.

An injury brought his season to a premature end, he missed the last five games, and he never fully recovered. In the following season he played just fifteen times, and only four of them were starts and his last appearance came in January 1993.

He remained with the Clarets until the summer of 1994 and had a short spell with Scunthorpe before finally being forced to hang up his boots.

He's still a very popular player around Turf Moor with the home fans and he's guaranteed, as he always is, to get a good reception from the crowd at half time tonight.
