Eight goals clinch title for Chelsea

Last updated : 10 May 2010 By Tony Scholes

Once Gary Caldwell was sent off at Stamford Bridge there was never any question that Chelsea wouldn't go on and take the title. They hit eight goals having previously scored seven on three other occasions. Manchester United are runners up whilst both Arsenal and Tottenham make the Champions League.

The three Europa Cup places go to Manchester City, Aston Villa and Liverpool although Liverpool would have missed out altogether had Portsmouth been allowed to enter. Fulham will also qualify for the Europa Cup should they win the final this week.

At the end of the season we've also included the average attendances of each club, plus their highest and lowest attendances of the season. We didn't pull in the highest attendance anywhere this season, but neither did we attract the lowest attendance for any club. Manchester United (4) and Arsenal & Spurs (3) attracted the most highest attendances whilst Fulham (4) and Portsmouth (3) attracted the most of the lowest attendances.

The last stats are all below, the next we show in August will once again concentrate on the Championship.
