Edmundson goes in reshuffle
Last Updated : 19-May-2007 byNo new Chief Executive will be appointed, but Chairman Barry Kilby and the newest member of the board Brendan Flood will be taking a more active role in the running of the club with their main aim to ensure the club continues to develop and progress in all aspects of the business, including playing resource, facilities development and increased commercial revenues streams.
Barry Kilby said of the change: "This new structure will allow Brendan and I to look closely at all operational aspects of the club and drive up revenue streams. Like myself, Brendan has considerable business know-how and together the aim is to take our great club to the next level."
Edmundson is the main casualty with the change. He's been with the club for three and a half years and will, under his new title, co-ordinate all development opportunities and strengthen current and future partnerships across both public and private sectors. It will allow him to concentrate more on his role within the Community Sports Trust.
Kilby said on announcing the changes: "Dave has done a marvellous job as Chief Executive, but we must constantly look to move the club forward." On his new role Dave said: "I am extremely pleased to be appointed to this new position at the club and these will be exciting times for Burnley FC over the next few years. Things are really happening."
The two new men in charge, Barry Kilby and Brendan Flood, have agreed to 'An evening with Clarets Mad'. Further details of this evening, with proceeds going to our Year of the Youth Fund, will be released as soon as they are available.
