Edgar deal close

Both players were free agents but because of their ages there was a fee to pay for both of them. Despite them signing some months ago we've not been able to reach agreement as yet with either Newcastle, from whom we signed Edgar, or Manchester United, Eckersley's previous club.

The Edgar deal is closest with an agreement between the clubs drawing closer. It is expected that one will be completed within the next couple of weeks. The Eckersley deal will take longer and could eventually go to a tribunal if the two clubs cannot come to an agreement.
