Easton gets Dundee deal

Dundee have now confirmed the signing and are delighted to have captured the former Hamilton and Burnley full back.

Chief Exec Scot  Gardiner said: "I'm very happy we have secured the services of a quality player like Brian who is the seventh player we have signed in the last few weeks since being notified of our inclusion in the SPL.

"Along with Barry and the board, we are confident that once the injury list clears and the boys have time to get as a team we will be able to push on and make our mark in the SPL this season. I also wouldn't rule out further additions but these will be within our budget as a fan owned club."

Easton joined Burnley in the summer of 2009, one of the signings as the Clarets faced Premier League football. He didn't play in the Premier League, but featured just in the two Carling Cup games that season.

After relegation he was understudy to Danny Fox until a year ago when he was thrust into the first team on a regular basis when Fox was sold. Eventually he lost his place with Ben Mee and new signing Danny Lafferty filling in.

After a disastrous substitute appearance at Watford, manager Eddie Howe confirmed he would not be considered again and  he was released at the end of last season.

Without a club since, he's now returned to the SPL where he played for Hamilton before his transfer to Turf Moor.
