Easton has been the subject of much speculation recently with the Clarets keen to bring both him and his Hamilton team mate James McCarthy to Turf Moor. Whilst our McCarthy bid looks set to fail we've been successful in bringing the young Scottish B and Under-21 international into our Premier League squad and today he's signed a three year deal with the Clarets.

Brian made his Hamilton debut at Queens Park in the Scottish League Cup in August 2006, making his league debut later that month at Airdrie. Since then he's been a regular in the side and has enjoyed the last season in the Scottish Premier League following promotion in 2008.

He's passed 100 league appearances for Hamilton and the Accies' fans have been wishing him the best on their message boards, so popular has he been in the last three years.

One fan wrote: "A big thank you to Brian Easton for his service to Accies , a huge part of the Championship winning team and last season, a guy who enjoyed playing for the real hoops and always made his way over at full-time to applaud the supporters win lose or draw.

"So good luck big Sheena , he's earned his crack at the top flight and I am sure it will not be long before we see him bombing up the wing for his new team on the tele."

Another wrote: "I'm delighted for him, getting a move to the EPL, but at the same time I'm absolutely gutted. He's an Accies legend in my eyes," and then there was: "I've been supporting Accies for over 25 years. I think Brian is one of the most genuine, honest and hardworking players I've had the pleasure of watching in this time. He's so often the un-sung hero and he thoroughly deserves his move to the big time."

Nicknamed Sheena, one fan said: "I'm also confident the people of Burnley are much less likely to associate your surname with a widely-forgotten chanteuse from Bellshill - I think you can say a fond farewell to the nickname Sheena."

Welcome to Burnley Sheena.
