Chris Eagles - top player at West Ham
The Clarets went 5-0 down during the second half before we rallied to score three goals with Eagles and Fletcher the two most prominent players. Fletcher scored the first two, both from Eagles' crosses and then stepped over a Tyrone Mears cross to enable Eagles to get the late third.

Such was the voting that no one else got a look in but it was Eagles who came out on top. He polled no less than 63.3% of the man of the match vote to take first place whilst Fletcher came in second with 26.5%. That left the rest fighting for scraps and it was Wade Elliott who took third place with just 2.1% of the vote.

It was the same with the player ratings with no player coming close to the top two. Eagles was again the winner with a rating of 8.00 out of 10, whilst Fletcher followed close behind with a rating of 7.86. This time substitute David Nugent sneaked into third place, and his rating was 6.05 out of 10.

That gives Eagles the maximum six points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year with Fletcher getting four. There was a point each for Elliott and Nugent.

Those points have taken Fletcher eleven points clear at the top of the table but it is Eagles in second place, his points lifting him above Tyrone Mears.

The vote for the Portsmouth man of the match will start during Saturday afternoon and run until the end of Tuesday after which will come the November Goal of the Month Poll.
