Eagles in Celtic link

During April it was reported that Eagles would be ready to fly away should Burnley be relegated but whilst there has been a lot of speculation about other players coming in or leaving the news has been sparse regarding the player who joined the Clarets just ahead of the 2008/09 season.

He expressed his desire to remain in the Premier League and during last season there had been suggestions that either Everton or Spurs could be interested.

However, the only interest since the end of the season had come from Burnley's opening day opponents Nottingham Forest. That is until today with Celtic boss Neil Lennon now keen on taking him to Scotland.
