Chris Eagles - won the man of the match vote
Martin Paterson had won both in the first two games of the season but this time Chris Eagles and Chris McCann were the winners with four different players picking up points.

The man of the match vote was won by Eagles with 25.3% of the vote, somewhat behind the massive wins Pato had achieved in those first two games. McCann came second with 16.6% and, on his league debut as a second half substitute, Kevin McDonald secured third place with 13.7% of the vote.

McCann, second in the vote, was the clear winner in the player ratings, ratings which reflected the disappointing performance with no player reaching the average of six. McCann had a rating of 5.80 out of 10 to take first place whilst Paterson was second with a rating of 5.56 and that was just above the 5.52 for McDonald which gave him another third place.

With the points added it leaves Martin Paterson seven points clear at the top with seven players now having won points this season.

The current table is:

14: Martin Paterson
7: Chris Eagles
5: Chris McCann
4: Brian Jensen
3: Stephen Jordan
2: Kevin McDonald
1: Robbie Blake
