Dyche nominated for Manager of the Month

The four managers nominated are those with the clubs in the top three places - Paul Ince (Blackpool), Harry Redknapp (QPR) and Dyche - along with Eddie Howe who has steered Bournemouth into sixth place following their promotion last season despite their two heavy defeats on the road.

The Football League, in confirming Dyche's nomination, said: "Three wins and a draw from five games following the eve-of-season sale of the prolific Charlie Austin demonstrated Dyche's ability to make believers of his players. Built a firm foundation with three clean sheets."

However, any hopes of having one of our players nominated for the player of the month were dashed when the nominations were announced this morning. That award will go to one of Troy Deeney (Watford), Clint Hill (QPR), Andy Reid (Nottm Forest) and James Vaughan (Huddersfield).

Ince is clearly the favourite for the manager award which will be announced tomorrow morning on Sky Sports News.
