Dyche and Vokes nominated for February awards

Dyche, who won the manager award in both September and October, has been nominated alongside Steve McClaren (Derby), Uwe Rösler (Wigan) and Watford's Guiseppe Sannino.

In terms of points won Rösler will be the favourite. Wigan have won 12 points from five games, one more point than the Clarets and Watford although the Hornets have played one extra game. McClaren's Derby picked up ten points during the month but played only four games.

If the award follows the usual pattern then I'd expect the award to be making its way to Wigan.

Derby left-back Craig Forsyth, Ross McCormack of Leeds and Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson have been named alongside Vokes for the player award, and the Football League have given us an absolute howler of a reason for Sam's nomination.

The League confirmed: "Vokes claimed the spotlight at Turf Moor with five goals during the month. He used his physical presence to grab the winner at Bolton Wanderers and also produced two lovely finishes against Millwall as he continued his dynamic partnership with Danny Ings."

It was Ings who scored twice against Millwall with Dean Marney getting the other.

Best of luck to both Sean and Sam with the winners announced tomorrow morning.
