Duffy here for another month

Duffy arrived a month ago amidst fears that John McGreal could be out injured but as it happened McGreal didn’t miss a game. This has meant the Welsh Under-21 international has spent most of his time on the bench although he did start in the 1-0 win against Cardiff as a replacement for Michael Duff who was suspended.

There is no news as to whether Portsmouth will allow him to play in the Carling Cup or not but if he is then he could come in for Frank Sinclair with either himself, or more likely Duff going into the centre.

With the news that Ian Moore has had his operation this afternoon we can hardly afford to lose any more players and although a replacement striker would give everyone a boost there is no doubt that Duffy’s loan extension is good news for the Clarets.

He’s appeared in four games so far for the Clarets with three of those as a subsitute, and he also made two appearances for the Welsh side a couple of weeks ago at Ewood Park against England and then against the Poles in Swansea.
