Michael Duff
Clarke Carlisle signed a new contract some months ago and the club confirmed just after the end of the season that player/coach Graham Alexander had put pen to paper on a new deal.

They were both two year contracts and now Duff has done the same and signed for another two seasons that will take his stay with Burnley to eight years since first joining us in the summer of 2004.

He was Steve Cotterill's second signing for Burnley that summer. We paid £30,000 for him plus a friendly at Whaddon Road that was played in the following summer.

He's gone on to play over 200 games for Burnley, including eleven in the Premier League in the 2009/10 season which completed his climb from non-league football. Now he can look forward to another two years at Turf Moor.

That just leaves three players out of contract who we are awaiting news from. They are Brian Jensen, Robbie Blake and Steven Thompson.
